Attempt number one to Maui certainly didn’t work. After an early morning customs debacle, the guch and I got placed on standby…and of course only 1 spot opened up on the flight - so our little hawaiian made her way home. As for me - after failed standby attempt number 2, I couldn’t bear going through a 3rd round of waiting…so “yes, Mr. Canadian Customs Officer, that is correct, I did go through US customs, but No, I did not arrive to Canada on any flight. No, I didn’t even leave the country. Yes, I missed my flight, but had a really lovely trip to the gate.” Oh well, if you are going to be stuck anywhere, it might as well be here ;)
letter to dreamy but distant boy
this actually had me laughing out loud…really…SERIOUSLY funny…
but ladies we all know that behind the hilarity does linger some truth…lol
So I’m loving the pig themed restaurants…an excuse to pig out even more? I think so. After cruising the streets of Vancity with my two friends, we stopped in at The Greedy Pig to grab a bite. With a feeling for something lighter, I opted for the portobello mushroom sandwich…but upon seeing my bestie’s pulled pork sandwich, I just had to steal half of it… oh sweet gluttony how you control me!
For those of you fellow “fun”employed individuals out there…if this is also why you are in the situation you are… http://thoughtcatalog.com/2011/on-quitting-my-job/ … at least we are all in the same boat…
I, for one believe in preserving my mental health…so I WILL break free from that soul-sucking conformity :)
Ever drive 227 km in search of food? Well I have. After hearing about the giant porker shaped food truck Maximus Minimus in Seattle, I just had to check it out…and I can say that I was not disappointed at all.
The Order: 1 Maximus pulled pork sandwich (hot and spicy just the way I like it) with a side of creamy rich ‘Max’ & Cheese
~Next time I’m going to order mine with a little bit of Hurt…aka xtra spice~
All I can say is after a long hungry drive, I was completely satiated and if you are a meat lover like me and find yourself in Seattle, it is a MUST that you head down to Pike and 2nd Ave and get yourself a serving of this tasty tasty food.
